David Moyes appointed Real Sociedad manager after accepting 18-month deal in La Liga
David Moyes will return to football management in Spain after accepting a job with La Liga side Real Sociedad.
The Scot has been out of work since leaving Manchester United in April, but has opted to join the San Sebastian club on an 18-month deal.
A club statement confirmed the deal. "Real Sociedad have reached an agreement with David Moyes to be the first team coach until 30 June 2016," it explained.
"Details about the official presentation of Real Sociedad's new coach and who will form part of his technical team will be published tomorrow (Tuesday) morning."

Sociedad finished in the top four last season and qualified for the Champions League, but after selling key players, including Antoine Griezmann, the club have struggled for form.
David Moyes - win percentages as manager
They currently lie 15th in the Spanish league, just two points off the bottom, and Moyes will be charged with restoring them to the top half of the table.
Wales boss Chris Coleman was previously in charge of the Basque club but resigned in January 2008 after a boardroom fall-out.
Reports in Spain earlier on Monday had suggested that Moyes had priced himself out of the role.
Ex-West Brom and Real Betis boss Pepe Mel was also in the running to replace Arrasate, but Moyes was reportedly Sociedad's first choice and La Real confirmed the Scot's appointment late on Monday night.
Moyes' first game in charge is set to be the trip to promoted Deportivo La Coruna after the international break.
