Arsenal handed Sami Khedira boost with suggestions Real Madrid will not offer German new deal
Sami Khedira is set to become a free agent in the summer as Real Madrid will not offer him a new contract.
According to reports in Spain, the German World Cup winner is set to be out of contract at the Bernabeu in June 2015 and Madrid are reluctant to head into renewal negotiations.
Spanish radio station Cadena Ser report that Khedira has asked his agent to open talks into a new deal, but Madrid are disinterested in discussions at this time.
Khedira has missed a lot of the 2014/15 season after suffering a long-term cruciate ligament knee injury when he returned from Brazil.
He is set to get another chance to prove his worth to Los Blancos before the end of the season, however, with Luka Modric expected to be sidelined for up to four months.
But Khedira's injury and contract concerns have meant that Toni Kroos, Isco and James Rodriguez have all moved ahead of him Carlo Ancelotti's line-up.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all said to be interested in signing the 27-year-old, who could be looking to push an early January sale through to beat each other to the signature.
